Summer Recreational Baseball
New this year, the Marshall Parks and Recreation Department will provide a recreational baseball league for youth ages 10-18. Details are still being worked out. Watch for more details and registration dates. Please call Park Administration Office at 660-886-7128 for more details.
Optimist League Baseball and Softball
Registration will be in early March. Teams will form by mid-April. Games begin mid-May. All games should be completed by the second week of July. There will be four leagues: 1) 6-7 year old mixed league using pitching machine 2) 8, 9, & 10 year old boys using pitching machine 3) 8—11 year old girl’s softball 4) 12—15 year old girl’s softball
Cost: $15
Games are scheduled in the evening Monday—Thursday. Rainouts are made up on Friday and Saturday morning. Registration forms can be found at:

T-Ball
Registration: April 1 – May 2

Fee: $15
This is a developmental T-Ball league for all boys and girls that will be 5-6 years old by July 1. The league will teach participants the basic fundamentals of baseball. Players need only supply a ball glove. A soft covered baseball will be used to develop and instill confidence in the players. Games will be played on Lyon Bowl Fields 1 and 2. The fee includes t-shirt and cap.

Youth Tennis Lessons
Session I: June 2 —June 12
Session II: June 16—June 26
Session III: June 30 — July 10
Time: 8:30—9:30 A.M.
Fee: $30/particicpant
Minimum # of participants: 4 per session
Maximum # of participants: 20 per session
All lessons are Monday—Thursday.
These lessons are designed for children ages 8-14 who have no prior experience. All children are welcome and encouraged to participate in learning the basic skills and knowledge of tennis. We encourage all participants to take part in all three sessions to gain a higher understanding of the game. All sessions will be held at the tennis courts located at Indian Foothills Park. Participants are required to bring their own racquet. Call Park Office for more information.
USTA Jamboree Regional Rally
We hope to host the annual USTA Jamobree in July. This is provided to us through a grant and it is too early to know if we have been approved. This is an ALL DAY USTA sponsored event starting at 9:30 A.M. and is FREE. It is open to all players ages 8-18. Call the Park Administration Office 660-886-7128for more information.

The Marshall Parks and Recreation Department and Salt Fork YMCA are co-sponsoring this competition to take place at Salt Fork YMCA.
U.S. Junior Olympic Skills Competition provides an opportunity to participate in a multi-sport competition. The national initiative give boys and girls, ages 8 to 13, the chance to showcase their athletic talents in four sports: basketball, soccer, tennis and track and field. Participants may compete in any or all four of the athletic events. The four sports are all scored individually and Champions are declared in each age and gender group. Chalk it Up
Come to the Marshall Aquatic Center with your creativity and artistic ability for the 1st annual sidewalk chalk contest. We will provide all of the necessary equipment you will need to create a colored chalk masterpice of your own on the sidewalks of the MAC. Prize awarded to top participant in each age group.
